Inclusion, SEND and Local Offer

Addison Primary School works inclusively with our families to maximize the learning potential of all children in our community. Pupils with SEND are valued members of our school community and every effort is made to support their individual needs.


At Addison we believe that all children have an equal right to a full and rounded education which should enable them to achieve their full potential.  We use our best endeavours to secure special educational provision for pupils for who this is required, that is ‘additional to and different from’ that provided within the differentiated curriculum to better respond to the four areas of SEND need below:


  • Communication and interaction
  • Cognition and learning
  • Social, mental and emotional health
  • Sensory/physical


We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere and open door policy as well as strong home school links. We hope that you feel able to come and ask any questions you have regarding support for your child.

Covid 19 

An update from the SEND Service on arrangements in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) in Hammersmith & Fulham

The SEND service – like the rest of Hammersmith & Fulham Council and our partners – is adapting the way we work to ensure that we can continue to support you. Our aim is to continue to operate services effectively and to a high standard during the coronavirus outbreak, while at the same time ensuring that we keep you and our staff safe.

We’ve created this resource to help give you more information and reassurance during this uncertain time.  


The service is still operating at Hammersmith & Fulham Council but Government guidance means that most of our staff is working at home, which is having an impact on our ability to deliver frontline services as quickly as we would like to. 

As a result, we’ve created this guide to use before contacting the duty line or other services about individual situations.
