Bringing Science to Life

To introduce our new science topic, States of Matter, we became particles to explore how they behave in solids, liquids and gases. For a solid, we stood tightly packed together with very little space between us. For a liquid, we stayed close together but were able to move around each other. For a gas, we spread out and moved freely around the room, bumping into each other as we moved.

We then worked in pairs to identify everyday objects as solids or liquids, using what we had learned about the properties of each state of matter.
