Sports Premium
What is Sports Premium?
The Primary PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to help schools make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of physical education, sport, and physical activity they offer.
At Addison , we recognise the vital role that physical activity plays in supporting both the physical and emotional wellbeing of our pupils. We are committed to using the Sports Premium effectively to inspire all children to enjoy sport, develop healthy lifestyles, and build positive attitudes towards lifelong fitness and wellbeing.
What is our Sports Premium used for?
We use our funding to:
Enhance the quality of PE provision through high-quality teaching, professional development, and specialist coaching.
Broaden opportunities for participation by offering a wide range of sports and activities that appeal to all pupils.
Promote health and wellbeing, encouraging pupils to be active every day and to understand the benefits of physical fitness.
Support competitive sport, providing opportunities for pupils to represent the school and develop teamwork, perseverance, and confidence.
Ensure sustainable impact, so that improvements continue beyond the current funding year.
We are proud that our approach ensures every pupil, regardless of ability or background, has access to high-quality physical education and opportunities to thrive through sport.
