The help we receive from parents and other volunteers is invaluable and is much appreciated by staff; it also shows the value parents place in children's learning and children benefit from this. Parents can help in many different ways, including:
Regular helpers in school are expected to share the school's commitment to safeguarding children from harm. All volunteers are interviewed by a school staff, referees contacted and undergo an enhanced check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
Local businesses have built up links with our school and we value their help. Students from local secondary schools gain work experience by helping in school. Our children benefit from seeing positive role models make such worthwhile contributions. Some of the local companies who have worked with us recently include HSBC and the BBC.
If you are interested in helping in school, and have the necessary free time please contact the school office or speak to any member of the teaching staff.
