Seeing Us

When you need to see us

Please do contact us at any time when you have a concern or wish to tell us about something which you think will affect your child's learning, even if it appears to be minor. The 'little' difficulties are easy to deal with – please don't let them become major concerns. If you wish to talk about your child please:

1. In the first instance, talk to the Class Teacher, or Teaching Assistant:

  • tell the adult on duty at the Year Group door;
  • write a short note and ask your child to give it to the teacher;
  • see the teacher after school in the playground
  • telephone us or, go to the Main Office and arrange to see the teacher.

2. If your worries persist, or it feels as through nothing has changed, then talk to a phase leader in school:

  • Foundation Phase (Nursery & Reception) – Mrs. Thompson-Smith;
  • Years 1 & 2  – Miss Cook;
  • Years 3 & 4  – Mr. Jones;
  • Years 5 & 6 – Miss Dawson;
  • Special Educational Needs – Miss Plummeridge.

3. If your worries have still not been resolved, please contact either  Mr Alexander or Miss Plummeridge, or the Head Teacher, Mr McGarrigle

  • However, they will go to the Class Teacher to discuss issues, so it makes sense for you to have spoken to the teacher first.
  • Please remember that the Deputy Heads and Head Teacher may have other commitments and will not necessarily be immediately available.

Consultation Meetings

Parent consultation meetings are held every term, typically around half-term, where parents make an appointment to discuss children's progress and well-being.
