Lunchtime Club
At Addison, we understand that pupils sometimes benefit from having a quiet and calming playground zone. Lunchtime club was set up as one of the zones. Lunchtime club is great for children who find it difficult in the playground environment. In the small setting they feel more secure due to the supervision and choice of activity. Pupils attending Lunchtime club have access to a range of fun and exciting activities, a few of which include:
- Board games
- Crafts (Colouring, drawing and making)
- Construction (Lego, Kinnex, & Marble run)
- Technology (IPad, Laptops & Wii)
At the end of each playtime session pupils join with their class in the main playground ready for afternoon lessons.
Who attends?
- Pupils are referred by the either the class teacher or other staff
- Selected children are encouraged to bring a friend (a different friend each day)
- Pupils new to the school can attend lunchtime club to help encourage social interaction
- Pupils that have displayed poor behaviour choices in the main playground or around the school will attend the club for a period of time (decided by the teacher or SLT)
