History
At Addison History is taught each term in conjunction with other curriculum areas focusing on a specific historical topic or period of time. Through an enquiry-based curriculum, children will develop their historical knowledge and understanding, which is driven by a progression of skills-based outcomes. Throughout the years, children build upon their knowledge of historical events from talking/interviewing people about their own experiences, looking at photographs, maps and artefacts as well as taking part in school visits. The children then present their knowledge and understanding through a range of mediums such as; art, models, various writing styles, timelines and drama.
