We are proud of the quality of our hot, oven cooked school meals, prepared daily in our kitchen. We encourage pupils to be consistent with their food choices and have a nutritious school lunch. Please inform us of any food allergies that your children have.

Allergies and intolerances

All children who eat school meals with an actual or suspected allergy or intolerance to any foods must have a Special Diet Plan in place with Stir, our school meal provider.  Parents/carers must complete an Allergy and Intolerance Referral Form which can be downloaded here or collected from the school office and get it countersigned by a medical professional or provide a medical letter to confirm the allergy or intolerance.  These forms must be completed even if your child has an allergy or intolerance to a food they do not supply so that your child can be added to their database in case of an occurrence of contamination.

For children’s safety, any child with an actual or suspected allergy or intolerance to food cannot have a school meal without a Special Diet Plan in place and must bring packed lunches until this has been set up.

Most children have a hot school meal, prepared from fresh ingredients daily by our cooks in the school kitchen. We encourage all children to have a hot school meal. Daily meal options include:

• Meat or fish (with a choice of Halal meat)
• Vegetarian choice
• Freshly baked bread
• Salad bar
• Hot dessert and/or fresh fruit

Meals are planned around a three week menu cycle, meeting all government dietary requirements for schools.  Take a look at our current menu! 

Stir, our caterer, strives to provide menus for children with special dietary requirements whenever possible. If your child needs a special diet, please complete the Special Diet Form to allow the Nutrition Department to provide a safe, special diet plans – all sections must be completed in full.

Please ensure that you either pay for school meals in advance using ParentPay or have a current claim for Free School Meals.
