Supporting Mental Health

Well-being is the state of feeling healthy and well. Humans have both physical and mental wellbeing and the things we experience can have a positive or negative effect on our wellbeing. The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are simple steps that everyone can take to increase their happiness and productivity. Research has shown people who practice this live longer by 7.5 years! You may find you are already doing some of these things in your everyday life and we encourage you to practice some more. Each day of the week try one of the 5 ways of well-being tips!

Understandably COVID-19 and school closures have interrupted the usual routine for children and parents and helping your children with this change can be very difficult. Especially when this is a new experience for us all. The World Health Organisation has created six helpful steps to help you support your children in a healthy and manageable way.

Hi Parents! 

 

My name is Zainab, I am an Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) from the Hammersmith and Fulham Mental Health Support Team. I work at Addison Primary School on Fridays. I am here to help you support your children if they are feeling worried, anxious, having difficulties following routine, or behavioural problems.  I can work with you directly through our 121 sessions or I can provide a one-off session through our drop-in service. Please have a look at the posters for more information.
