SEND Information

Addison Primary School works inclusively with our families to maximize the learning potential of all children in our community. Pupils with SEND are valued members of our school community and every effort is made to support their individual needs.

At Addison we believe that all children have an equal right to a full and rounded education which should enable them to achieve their full potential.  We use our best endeavours to secure special educational provision for pupils for who this is required, that is ‘additional to and different from’ that provided within the differentiated curriculum to better respond to the four areas of SEND need below:

  • Communication and interaction
  • Cognition and learning
  • Social, mental and emotional health
  • Sensory/physical

We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere and open door policy as well as strong home school links. We hope that you feel able to come and ask any questions you have regarding support for your child.

Find outlined in our SEND documentation further information regarding how we, as a school, provide this support and how you can access advice and support for your child.  Please see below the School Offer which provides answers to frequently asked questions and the Local Offer, providing information about the support provided by the local authority.
